All Inclusive Education Initiative: Dubbo Region Education Conference

Students, families, educators, support professionals, and community partners are invited to save the date for this event.

This exciting conference will focus on supporting children and young people with disability and additional support needs throughout their educational journey, from early childhood through to transitioning from school into further education, employment, community participation, and adult life.

The program is currently being finalised and will feature inspiring guest speakers, industry experts, local families, and people with lived experience who will share practical insights, mentorship opportunities, and real-world strategies for success.

The conference will offer two dedicated streams.

Early Childhood and Primary Years is designed for families, educators, allied health professionals, and support staff. This stream focuses on building strong support networks around children while promoting inclusion, participation, learning, and successful transitions throughout the early years of education. Participants will leave with valuable connections, practical strategies, and an evolving toolkit to support children across home, school, and community settings.

High School and Beyond is focused on empowering young people, their families, educators, and support teams. This stream aims to build confidence, develop self-advocacy skills, and help students find their voice. Sessions will explore pathways to further education, employment, independence, and community participation, helping young people prepare for life beyond school and create meaningful futures. The stream will also highlight the importance of planning ahead, including understanding changing support needs, preparing for transitions, and navigating NDIS plans and supports to ensure young people are ready for the next stage of their journey.
