It’s time for a day in the wild at Taronga Western Plains Zoo

Starting at dawn with an Early Morning Walk when the animals awaken, this leisurely guided walk experience runs from 6.30am – 9.00am on weekends and public holidays before the Zoo opens. Revive with some delicious breakfast at The Zoo Cafe & Bar before heading out to check out the full Zoo circuit.

Drop in on the mischievous meerkats during their keeper talk or explore the replica Mongolian village filled with fallow deer and takhi at the Wild Herds exhibit. And don’t miss the incredible Lion Pride Lands exhibit where you can get up close to the King of the Jungle!

For an extra special visit why not book a special animal experience? Feed a majestic tiger during a Big Cat Encounter or explore the extensive plains surrounded by giraffes, zebras and more on a Savannah Safari. Zoo circuit open 9.00am – 4.00pm.
